1. About the Programme
The B.A. in Gender Studies is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of gender concepts and dynamics across various disciplines. It aims to cultivate a multidisciplinary perspective on gender issues, enabling learners to engage with complex gender-related issues effectively.
2. Programme Structure
- The programme spans six semesters, totaling 120 credits.
- Each semester comprises 20 credits.
- The curriculum includes various types of courses:
- Core courses
- Discipline-Specific Courses
- Generic Elective (GE)
- Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC)
- Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC)
- Modern Indian Languages (MIL)
3. Core Courses & General Electives
The core courses are developed by the School of Gender Studies and cover topics such as Gender Sensitization in Society and Culture, Women's Empowerment and Development, and Gender in Law. Additionally, students can choose general elective courses from other disciplines like English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Psychology, Environmental Science, Management, and Sociology.
