Attribution Theory:
Attribution theory, developed by Fritz Heider, explores how individuals interpret and explain the causes of their own and others' behavior. It suggests that people attribute actions to either internal factors (personal traits or abilities) or external factors (situational influences). Harold Kelley expanded the theory, introducing covariation information and three types of attributions: internal, external, and stable. Attribution theory helps understand how people make sense of the world, make judgments about others, and form expectations based on perceived causes of behavior. It has applications in psychology, social interactions, and organizational behavior, shedding light on the intricacies of human perception and interpretation.
