Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD):
Oppositional Defiant Disorder is a childhood behavioral disorder characterized by persistent patterns of defiant, disobedient, and hostile behavior toward authority figures. Children with ODD often display frequent temper tantrums, argumentativeness, and a refusal to comply with rules or requests. This disruptive behavior significantly impacts social, academic, and familial functioning. While common during childhood, persistent and severe ODD may lead to conduct disorder in adolescence. Early intervention through behavioral therapy is crucial for managing ODD and preventing its progression to more serious behavioral issues.
