Maladaptive behaviors, such as avoidance or safety-seeking behaviors, contribute to the reinforcement of anxiety and perpetuate the cycle of fear.

      Exposure Therapy: Exposure therapy is a key behavioral intervention for anxiety disorders, based on the principles of classical conditioning and extinction. Clients are gradually exposed to feared stimuli or situations in a systematic and controlled manner, allowing them to confront their fears and learn that the feared outcomes are unlikely to occur.
