Asperger's Disorder:
Asperger's Disorder, now considered part of the autism spectrum, was characterized by significant challenges in social interaction and repetitive behavior patterns. Individuals often displayed intense interests and maintained average to above-average cognitive abilities. Communication difficulties, sensory sensitivities, and a preference for routines were common. While the term "Asperger's" is no longer a separate diagnosis, the traits and challenges associated with it are encompassed within the broader category of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Early interventions, behavioral therapies, and tailored support contribute to improved outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum.
